Congratulations to the MOOD project team!

The MOOD team is strengthening CIRAD's role as a major national and international player in epidemic and intelligence systems, surveillance and its new approaches in human and animal health.

The MOODproject

« MOnitoring Outbreak events for Disease surveillance in a data science context » coordinated by CIRAD, has been successfully evaluated and accepted by the European Commission. This is the result of intensive collaboration with all colleagues concerned. The team obtained funding from the ANR and DG-DRS (Del Europe and DIMS) for the assembly phase.

With an expected duration of four years, MOOD brings together 25 partners from several European countries. The project aims to use data mining and analysis techniques for large data from multiple sources to improve the detection, monitoring and evaluation of emerging diseases in Europe. To this end, MOOD will establish a framework and visualization platform for real-time analysis and interpretation of epidemiological and genetic data in combination with environmental and socio-economic covariates in an integrated intersectoral, interdisciplinary and health-oriented approach.
